Improves flexibility, builds strength, and develops control and endurance in the whole human body. It puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong powerhouse, and improving coordination and balance. The Pilates’ system allows exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginning to advance movements. Intensity can be increased over time as the body conditions and adapts to the exercises. Routines change on a monthly basis, and use a variety of equipment, such as the stability ball, light hand weights, resistance cords, or just body weight.
A popular interval class that mixes calisthenics and body weight exercises with cardio and strength training. Classes are designed in a way to be different all the time, and push our participants harder than they’d push themselves. We want to keep you guessing – and challenge you differently in every class!
Specially designed for the individual* with health concerns (e.g. Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Replacements, etc.).
Exercises are performed in our warm water therapy pools and class is taught by instructors certified through the Arthritis Foundation.
Entrance to the pool is by steps with handrails or a ramp and participants do not need to know how to swim.
Length of Class: 60 minutes
